More borrowing with gratitudery

Bush sounding like a moron . . . :

Mr. Bush told the prime minister that he had come "to look you in the eye." He repeated the phrase later at the palace, when he told troops and other Americans he had come "to look at Prime Minister Maliki in the eyes and determine whether or not he is as dedicated to a free Iraq as you are."

Excuse me bub, but that's not the way life works. You can't fly across the world, have a couple of photo ops for a few minutes with a guy whose language you do not speak and whose country's history you know nothing about and "determine whether or not he is dedicated to a free Iraq."

Remember back in June 2001, when Bush met Putin in Slovakia, he declared, "I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. ... I was able to get a sense of his soul."

Barbara says: I am obliged point out that George W. Bush is the same immensely sensitive, intuitive, God-channeling man who yesterday taunted a nearly-blind man for wearing sunglasses.

Bush's radar is flawed. His gut is unreliable. His intellect '" well, that's an oxymoron. Next? His statesmanship is Cheneyesque. His friends are felons. He is a man for all seasons, as long as it's perpetual winter.

Full disclosure: I don't much like that man.

I am still completely unable to fathom how we as a nation continue to support this idiot. After all the negative things that he has caused for our nation, I am surprised that anyone with any brain cells would believe in him or his message. It does not take an allegiance to a particular party to see all of the harm that has been done over the past six years...
